{"id":2831,"date":"2026-07-29T08:30:43","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T06:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consmosca.esteri.it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/visti\/dove-chiedere-un-visto\/"},"modified":"2026-07-31T14:30:47","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T12:30:47","slug":"dove-chiedere-un-visto","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/consmosca.esteri.it\/ru\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-straniero\/visti\/dove-chiedere-un-visto\/","title":{"rendered":"Where to apply for a visa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Visa applications for Italy may be submitted through the Visa Centers operated by external companies entrusted with the collection of applications within the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Italy in Moscow, which covers the entire territory of the Russian Federation, with the exception of the jurisdiction of the Consulate General in St. Petersburg (i.e., the city of St. Petersburg and the regions of Leningrad, Novgorod, Vologda, Arkhangelsk, Pskov, and the province of Pskov, Murmansk and province, and the Autonomous Republic of Karelia.<\/p>\n<p>The authority to process applications is assigned to the relevant Visa Centers based on the applicant\u2019s place of residence, as indicated in the national passport:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Residents of Moscow and the Moscow Region, as confirmed by the corresponding stamp in their national internal passport, must contact the company <a href=\"https:\/\/italyvms.com\"><strong>Visa Management Service VMS<\/strong><\/a> based in Moscow. Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Residents in the rest of the district should contact the<a href=\"https:\/\/visa.almaviva-russia.ru\/\"><strong>company Almaviva Russia<\/strong><\/a> with offices in Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, and Samara. Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Visa applications are processed exclusively by the Consulate General, with full respect for applicants\u2019 privacy.<\/p>\n<p>Due to logistical and organizational reasons, the processing of visa applications may take longer than expected. We therefore ask applicants to submit their visa applications well in advance of their planned departure dates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Family members of Italian and European Union citizens<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Family members of Italian and European Union citizens (EU family members) may apply for a visa directly at the Consulate General by scheduling an appointment via email at <a href=\"mailto:mosca.familiari@esteri.it\">mosca.familiari@esteri.it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hours of operation for the dedicated service desk: 9:30 a.m. \u2013 1:00 p.m. (Mondays and Thursdays).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEU family members\u201d refers to a spouse, a civil partner, dependent direct ascendants and those of the spouse or civil partner, direct descendants under the age of 21 or who are dependent, and those of the spouse or civil partner, who are accompanying or joining an EU citizen.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that direct descendants over the age of 21 and direct ascendants (parents, grandparents) may submit an application at the consulate provided that they are dependents of the EU citizen and able to prove this by submitting appropriate documentation to be attached to the application. Documentation proving the family relationship (marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.) must be submitted in both original and copy.<\/p>\n<p>EU family members are exempt from submitting documentation regarding their socioeconomic status and proof of sufficient means of support. They are also exempt from the requirement to have health insurance.
